The game is filled to the brim with many neat inclusions, including the oddly cute Messengers in the game and the various amusing Messenger Skins that players can make them wear if they find these items. Keeping this in mind, here are all the Messenger Skins available in Bloodborne and the process involved in obtaining them.

9 Red Messenger Ribbon

The Red Messenger Ribbon might look adorable on these creatures, but the process to get it is rather saddening. In fact, this item and another Messenger Skin in the game have a dark history.

This ribbon can be found after telling Gascoigne’s daughter the truth about her parents’ fate or instructing her to head to Iosefka’s Clinic. She gets devoured by a pig on the way, from which this item can be obtained.

8 White Messenger Ribbon

Players who don’t mind losing their Red Messenger Ribbon to get a differently colored ribbon can definitely do the same. However, this act just causes more grief and sadness in the world of Bloodborne.

After getting the Red Messenger Ribbon and defeating Rom, players should head to Gascoigne’s house once again. Here, players will find the older daughter who asks about her sibling’s wellbeing. If players give her the Red Messenger Ribbon, then she will deduce her fate and join the rest of her family in the afterlife after players load the game again.

7 Messenger Urn Festival

Watching Messengers carry a bunch of urns around is pretty amusing. Thankfully, getting this urn doesn’t involve doing anything tragic at all, unlike the previous two items on this list.

There’s a secret passage that is present above Oedon Chapel, but players need to defeat the Blood-Starved Beast before accessing this area. Here, players gain access to an elevator to the Healing Church Workshop. Exiting in the middle of this elevator ride through a hidden passage lets players get this item to decorate their Messengers.

6 Black Messenger Hat

The Black Messenger Hat is a great item for these little creatures. Getting it isn’t all that hard either, with most players finding this item while exploring Cathedral Ward at their own pace.

To get this item, players need to head right up the stairs in Cathedral Ward, pass the gate, and climb a ladder to the right of the gate. Dropping down from this platform onto a rooftop lets players loot a corpse that has this item.

5 Worn Top Hat

Top hats are a favorite of many Bloodborne fans. These hats are pretty classy and look downright amusing on the Messengers. There are two such hats that players can make their Messengers wear in the game.

Unfortunately, this one is locked away as either a part of a region-specific DLC or in a limited edition. It’s a shame, but there’s a silver lining — the other top hat in this game can be attained through perfectly legitimate means.

4 Messenger Top Hat

Most players remember the dreaded drop in the Healing Church Workshop, where players need to expertly navigate these beams to either reach a workshop or access a dilapidated version of the Hunter’s Dream.

During this precarious drop, players will notice a corpse on these beams with an item. Players who are adventurous enough to try and reach this item will be rewarded with a rather amusing decorative item for the Messengers that is beloved by the fanbase for its tasteful ludicrousness.

3 Yharnam Messenger Hat

The Yharnam Messenger Hat could’ve been a pretty popular decorative item for the Messengers in the game. Unfortunately, it also suffers from the same problem as the Worn Top Hat, since it cannot be obtained by legitimate means.

Instead, players need to have obtained the Limited Hunter Edition of Bloodborneto get a chance of using this item. This is obviously something that not everyone had access to.

2 Messenger Head Bandage

The Messenger Head Bandage is a pretty creepy item that players can make their Messengers wear in the game. It comes as a DLC that is present in most special editions of the game.

While this decorative piece is pretty creepy in its own right, it pales in comparison to a far grislier version of the same decorative piece. The best part is that this particular Messenger Skin can be obtained through legitimate means in the game!

1 Bloody Messenger Head Bandage

The Bloody Messenger Head Bandage is one of the creepier items that players can make these creatures wear in Bloodborne. Getting this item requires a bit of precise platforming in an area where most people aren’t really all that friendly.

Players need to head to Old Yharnam and reach Djura’s tower. After either befriending or defeating this hunter, there’s a platform near this tower that players can drop down to. After another jump to a wooden platform, players will be able to obtain this item!

Bloodborne is currently available for PS4.
