The West Valley City Police department commented that “you can’t make this up” after they received a call from someone saying they had seen a woman running from her car into a gym in apparent distress.
“Naturally, that’s a pretty big concern, so our officers rushed to the scene,” the force wrote on Facebook.
When officers arrived at the scene, it turned out that the woman in question had been working on a movie set just prior to arriving at the gym. The reason she was in such a hurry is because she was desperate to wash off her bloody make-up before her kickboxing class started.
Police then posted an image of the officers called to the scene, along with the woman still wearing her full, gory make-up.
“And it’s not even Halloween yet,” West Valley City Police added.
This is not the first time an incident like this has occurred. In September 2016, a British couple went viral when police tweeted an image of them in full zombie make-up after pulling them over in their car.
The North West Motorway Police said they were called to reports of a man biting a woman in a a highway in England. However, officers soon realized the whole thing was a false alarm, after seeing it was film extras Diane Holden and Steve Low traveling from a movie set.
Lowe told the Press Association at the time. “There was nowhere for us to get changed so we just got in the car and didn’t think anything of it. I don’t know where the assault report came from, but an unmarked police vehicle pulled us over just as we were getting home.
“We wound down the window and when the officer saw us he burst out laughing. He asked to take a picture because no one would believe him back at the station.”
A Greater Manchester police spokesperson said: “We got a call to reports of a man biting a woman on the M62 at junction 11 and was being assaulted.
“Officers were sent out to search for the vehicle as it is a serious incident. But when they found the car in question, they saw they were covered in fake blood.
“Thankfully the man and woman were extras on their home from a job and it was a funny ending really.”
