Right away, fans see a Halloween Easter Egg of the iconic villain Michael Myers is in the woods. He’s only there briefly but the infamous killer is as creepy as always. There is also a cupcake signaling Tree Gelbman’s (Jessica Rothe) birthday in the 2017 horror comedy Happy Death Day, along with a camera in the bedroom signaling Paranormal Activity and a present representing The Gift. There are also snare drums for Whiplash and a comb for BlacKkKlansman, two of the best Blumhouse movies that aren’t horror and both films that were released in 2014.

Other horror Easter Eggs include two girls wearing masks that are from The Purge, one of the most popular Blumhouse horror franchises, and the Lipstick-Face Demon from Insidious appears briefly as well.

Fans of Blumhouse’s TV series Into The Dark will be happy to see season 1’s Pooka in the bedroom, the animal mascot for a children’s toy who is totally evil. When actor Wilson Clowes (Nyasha Hatendi) puts on the outfit, he’s excited to finally have a job, but he then realizes that Pooka is taking over his life and doing awful things. This was a great inclusion on the motion logo as Pooka is an interesting, dynamic, and memorable character.

There is also a black phone which is an easter egg for the 2022 horror film The Black Phone, based on the Joe Hill story and one of the most exciting Blumhouse 2022 horror releases.

The motion logo is the perfect mix of iconic villains (the Lipstick-Face Demon and Michael Myers) with some fun elements from Blumhouse films, like the cupcake and black phone. It’s entertaining to pick out the Easter Eggs and this motion logo creates even more excitement for upcoming releases.
